On The A-Team, one of John "Hannibal" Smith's catch-phrases was, "I love it when a plan comes together." Well, we do too, and that's why we are excited to announce that submissions for Jane's Boy Press have opened ONE MONTH EARLY. You can go to our site on Submittable by clicking this link and submit your work to us using our submissions manager. We're looking for chapbook (30-50 pages) and full-length (51+ pages) manuscripts, plus individual poems (which you can submit in batches of 3-7) for our annual journal, Ishka Bibble. Jane's Boy Press is pleased to announce the release of the debut poetry collection by Ann Clark in Spring 2015. Ann's poetry has appeared in the Good Men Project, Ragazine, The Gambler and many other fine journals and magazines, and is forthcoming in The Florida Review. She was also recently named a semi-finalist in the Naugatuck Review's Narrative Poetry Contest for her poem "History Lesson." She has attended the prestigious Sewanee Writer's Conference and holds a Masters degree from Wake Forest. Currently, she is studying in the creative writing program at SUNY Binghamton, where she is working toward her doctorate. Ann's poetry captures a distinctive voice with a skewed vision of the world that sees it in all its truth, even when those truths can be unappealing. She finds the dark humor that hides around the edges of crisis and tragedy. Clever, thoughtful, finely crafted, and always inspiring, her poetry will make a fine volume in any poetry library and we at Jane's Boy are delighted to feature it as our first full-length collection.
Keep your eyes on our site for more news as we work toward the release date. Soon our site will feature author pages spotlighting each of our book authors, including photos, biographies, and samples of their work.
