As the year ends, Jane's Boy extends heart-felt congratulations to both Ann Clark and Carlton Fisher, both of whom have been nominated for Pushcart Awards. Ann's poem, "Unlucky," was nominated by The Gambler Magazine, and Carlton's poem "The Wrong Man, The Wrong Night," was nominated by MiPOesias. Best of luck to both Ann and Carlton during the selection process. We're proud to have both of our current authors represented in the Pushcart nominations.
Happy New Year to all our readers! In 2015, Jane's Boy will release Ann Clark's first full-length poetry collection and the first issue of Ishka Bibble. We're still building the release schedule for the year as well as 2016, and we're still looking for your poetry and manuscript submissions. If your resolution is to start sending out more of your work, then click on the submissions link above and let us see your very best.
Ann Clark's debut, full-length collection will be released by Jane's Boy Press this coming spring. You can view her author page now, complete with a biography, photo, and two sample poems from the forthcoming book. Poet Maria Mazziotti Gillan has this to say about Jane's Boy title And the Moon is Full Tonight via her Facebook page:
"Carlton D. Fisher's new book, And The Moon is Full Tonight, is incredible. Passionate, honest, moving, beautiful, it pulls into his world through his willingness to take risks in his poems and to be emotionally vulnerable. I love this book and want to make it recommended reading." --Maria Gillan
If you haven't had a chance to pick up your copy yet, you can order through our press page at this link.
